General Data Protection Regulations – Our Policies

One of the biggest changes to UK data privacy law comes into effect on 25th May 2018 when the General Data Protection Regulation, known as GDPR, becomes law.

Jesmond URC takes all reasonable steps to ensure compliance with data protection law in holding personal data only as long as it is needed, keeping it safe, accurate and up to date and only using it for the purposes for which you have provided it.

The Elders of Jesmond United Reformed Church collect and process personal data in accordance with our Data Privacy Statement which has now been approved and is effective from the 25th of May – this is now available to view.

The Elders have contacted all members and adherents and sent a Data Consent Form to seek express permission to collect and process personal data.
